On the Pers and Morteratsch Glacier, the descent leads past the Piz Palü and Bernina to Morteratsch.
The longest glacier descent in Switzerland is fascinating, wild and beautiful. The descent on the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers is eight kilometers long and runs directly under the Piz Palü. The mountains around the descent are mighty enthroned. In contrast to other "smoothed" glacier ski areas, this descent is not groomed and therefore offers a real snow sports experience. The descent ends at the Morteratsch RhB station, you can take the train back to the Diavolezza valley station.
